Grandmom's visit.

When Jeff's mom came to visit we took her to Savannah, Ga.  We started with lunch at the Crab Shack on Tybee Island.

They have put in a small gator pond area at the restaurant.

After lunch we went down to the river for drinks at Wet Willie's and boat watching.

You can see the Savannah bridge in the background.

The next day we shopped and walked around the town.  There was a Coast Guard cutter tied up to the river front.  They were giving tours so we all took a tour of their ship.

Here is the name of the ship.  Check out that huge cargo ship behind the gangplank.

The boys with a fountain.  There are many in this town.

We also went chasing ducks at Forsyth Park.

We goofed around in the park and then went back to the hotel for the HUGE rainstorm that came through.  Later that evening we had a wonderful dinner at The Lady and Sons.

On our last day we went to the Savannah Rail Museum and walked around town.

The round house.

Walking around the town we found this funny rain gutter spout.

The boys played on some cannons in the square.

Anybody up for Superman ice cream?

Saying goodbye to Grandmom at the airport.

We had a wonderful visit.  Next time we take her to Savannah we will go in the spring.  The September heat and humidity was hard on her.
