May '09

Hailey continues to enjoy learning how to be a good big sister, and a big girl.  May is a great time of year here too 'cause the weather is starting to turn and we often get some great weather days.  This year we definitely had a few.

Here you can see Hailey out front playing with her birdies and sponge.  Doesn't she look cute in her base-ball hat?

Here's another picture of her out front playing with her sand table.  As you can see we've gone purple now, and it has some of her colored rice mixed in.  They weren't supposed to mix... but she is a 2 1/2 year old...

It was even warm enough one day to bust out the sprinkler in back.  Here you can see Hailey getting her feet wet.  And for the record, yes she's holding a measuring cup.  It's one of her many water toys.

Here she is doing her best John Lennon impression.  We have a fun magnet set and these are the things you pick up.  She figured out that she can see through them (or maybe she just saw Daddo doing it) and decided to wear them like glasses.

With the nice weather we tried to get out as much as possible.  Here you can see us on the swings.  2 of us were enjoying it, see if you can guess who wasn't...

We even went to a carnival of some friends of ours kids school and had a blast.  Here you can see Daddo and Hailey flying down the huge slide.  After this slide Scott had a burn on his arm that took a few weeks to heal, but it was worth it to give Hailey a big adrenaline rush.

At the carnival we also made a flower necklace.  Here you can see Hailey "helping".  Actually she was inspecting her gummy lizard we won at one of the games and trying to figure out how to open the package...

Here's a great picture of Hailey at her table one night when we ate outside on Memorial Day.  As you can see Hailey was very patriotic with her outfit, including her hair ties.

This also is the time of year to start planting things up here.  Here you can see Hailey helping Mommy swap in some flowers into the little planter.

And here you can see Hailey helping Daddo with Guitar Hero.  She's a good drummer...

Hailey got some new butterfly princess gear and was very proud to display some of it.

Then she had the audacity to demean and torture Mr. Bear.  His self image will never be the same again.

Here you can see the pictures of her first year, separated by month.  Each number is a different month, and they go from birthday to birthday.  So her "10th month" is when she was 9 months old.
